Booking for someone else, and seeing bookings on any device
Booking for a parent, a partner or a child? How the name and number on a booking work, and how to see your bookings on another phone or computer by adding your email.

Saloonly is built so that anyone can book without an account. That makes it easy to book for other people too, as long as the salon knows who is coming and how to reach someone about it.
The name is whoever is coming
The details step asks for a name and a mobile number. The name is the person sitting in the chair, so if you are booking a haircut for your father, put his name. That is the name the salon will expect at the door.
The number is whoever the salon should call
Salons use the number if something changes: a stylist is ill, or they need to move the time. Put the number of the person who can answer for the booking. If you are arranging everything, that can be yours; if they would rather deal with the salon themselves, use theirs, with their permission.
Please only book in someone else’s name if they know about it. A parent or guardian can book for a child.
Good to know: Saloonly remembers the name and number you used last and fills them in next time. After booking for someone else, check the details before your own next booking.
Booking for several people
Each booking is for one person. For two or more, make one booking each. Choosing “Anyone free” rather than one stylist shows the most times, which makes it easier to find slots side by side.

Booking without an account
You never need an account or a password to book. Your bookings stay on the device you booked on: open My bookings on that phone or browser and they are there, ready to check or cancel.
Seeing your bookings on another device
If you want to see your bookings on another phone or on a computer, add your email. Open My bookings and choose Add my email, or do it on the confirmation screen after booking. Saloonly emails you a six-digit code; type it in and you are signed in. There is no password to remember.
Your bookings, orders and saved salons from that device move onto your account. On any other device, sign in with the same email and code, and everything is there.
- The code expires after ten minutes, so use it while it is fresh.
- Whoever can read that email can sign in, so use an address only you can open.
- Signing in is optional. If you stay a guest, everything keeps working on the device you use.
Cancelling a booking you made for someone else
It works the same way as your own: open My bookings on the device you booked on, or any device once you have added your email, and tap Cancel. Each salon sets how close to the time you can still cancel online; after that, call the salon.
