Ordering salon products on Saloonly, and collecting them

Many salons sell the shampoo, oils and polish they use. Here is how to order from a salon on Saloonly, when it is ready, and how you pay when you collect.

The products a salon uses on you are often the ones it recommends you use at home. On Saloonly, salons that sell their products list them on their page, so you can order and pick them up without asking at the counter and hoping they have it.

Find the shop on the salon’s page

Open a salon and scroll to Shop. Each product shows its brand, a short description where the salon has written one, and its price in the salon’s own currency. If something has run out, it says so.

Tap Add, then use the plus and minus to choose how many. You do not need to book an appointment to order; a basket on its own is fine.

One salon per basket

An order is collected from one salon, so a basket holds products from one salon at a time. If you add something from a second salon, Saloonly asks first: keep the basket you have, or start a new one for the other salon. Nothing is lost by accident.

Place the order

Open your basket, check the quantities, and give your name and mobile number. No account is needed; the salon just needs to know whose order it is. There is space for a note, such as the day you plan to come in.

When you place the order you get an order code. Keep it handy: it is the quickest way for the salon to find your order when you arrive.

Good to know: Nothing is paid on Saloonly. Tax, if the salon charges it, is added at the counter.

Wait for “Ready to collect”

The salon puts your order together and marks it ready. You will see it change from Placed to Ready to collect under My bookings › Orders. In the Android app, allow notifications and you are told when it is ready.

Saloonly does not deliver. You collect from the salon and pay at the counter, by cash, card or whatever the salon takes.

Changing your mind

You can cancel an order from My bookings › Orders until the salon marks it ready. After that, the salon has set it aside for you, so call them if you can no longer come or need a different day.

Occasionally a salon has to cancel an order itself, perhaps because something sold out at the counter first. If it does, the order shows as cancelled, with the salon’s reason when it gives one.

Questions about a product

The salon is the shop, so it is the right place to ask whether a product suits your hair or skin. Returns, refunds and product quality are handled by the salon under its own policy and the consumer law where it is.
